Team Tasting Quest – What is it like? How does it unlock Team Strengths & Senses?
It’s a fun, interactive tasting experience that sharpens sensory skills, boosts team connection and turns flavour into team‑building experience.
When you bring your team together for a team tasting, you’re signing them up for more than just another “staff drinks” event. It’s an immersive, sensory‑rich experience designed for fun, connection and learning.
Before any session begins, you get to choose product categories that suit your preferences. Sessions havve been run with beer, wine, cider, gin, whisky, chocolate, cheese, olives, olive oil and snacks. A structured approach to tasting can be used for any type of food or beverage.
You get to choose the venue, product type(s) and session length (60 or 90 minutes).
Flavour Logic brings everything needed to run the session and sensory expertise to share practical tasting tips.

Here’s how it unfolds:
- Welcome & Setup – The room (or virtual platform) is ready: tasting glasses, aroma kits, sample items (beer, wine, spirits, olive oil, or whichever theme you choose). Participants gather in small teams and receive a brief introduction.
- Guided Tasting Input – A sensory expert leads the group through a quick primer on how to look, swirl, sniff and taste like a pro. The approach is casual and fun so everyone feels comfortable, whether you’re a newcomer or enthusiast.
- Interactive Team Challenges – Teams compete or collaborate in mini‑games: blind‑tasting rounds, “what am I tasting?” aroma matches, flavour quizzes, decoding samples. The fun comes with a little competition and a lot of shared laughs and surprises.
- Share & Reflect – Teams compare notes: what did they pick up? What flavours stood out? How did their senses guide them? This reflection is where the real connection happens — people talking, discovering what they notice, hearing others’ observations.
- Wrap‑Up & Prizes – We tally up quiz points, announce a winning team, and hand out small prizes (branded, fun or gourmet). We finish with a group toast (or virtual cheers) and an invitation to keep the conversation going.
- Take‑home Value – Every participant leaves with skills to improve your appreciation of sensations when eating and drinking. You’ll build stronger connection with colleagues, and a positive experience that shifts beyond the usual event formats.

Why it works for teams:
- It levels the playing field — you don’t have to be a beer or wine expert to engage, everyone brings their varied senses and diverse perspective.
- It builds real interaction in a relaxed but purposeful format — not just passive listening. As one guide notes, “Teams sample wines, share impressions and discover common tastes … this creates authentic connection.”
- It’s flexible — you choose the theme and product type (beer, wine, gin, whisky, cheese, olive oil), duration (60 or 90 minutes) and location (in‑person or virtual), letting the experience fit your company culture and event objective.
- It sharpens sensory awareness — which has spill‑over into workplace behaviours like observation, communication and appreciation of detail. Research shows that such tasting events offer more than enjoyment: they support team morale, meaningful connection and engagement.
- It gives you something memorable — not just another meeting or drinks hour. It’s an experience people remember and talk about, which reinforces team culture.
