WSET qualifications in beer are globally recognised expert-led courses that build confidence in tasting, understanding, and talking about styles.
Flavour Logic is partnering as the nominated educator with Bacchus Academy, a leading provider of drinks education in Australia with extensive experience delivering professional WSET wine, spirits and beer training across Australia. All administration and payments for beer courses will be handled by their team.
Who developed the course?
Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is the world’s leading provider of drinks qualifications. Courses are designed to inspire and empower anyone looking to develop their drinks knowledge including beginners, enthusiasts and industry professionals. Beer, Wine, Spirits and Sake courses are available. Key to all courses is developing tasting technique and confidence using the Systematic Approach to Tasting®.

Course delivery
We offer flexible options for delivery, either online, in-person or hybrid. In-person courses can be held in SA, VIC, NSW and ACT by qualified educators.
Customised group training for industry and trade are available at your chosen venue. Please note that a minimum number of students may be required for in-person courses to go ahead.
Example timings:
- Level 1: 2 x 3 hour sessions, 1 x 6 hour sessions
- Level 2: 3 x 8 hour sessions, 6 x 3 hour sessions

How do online courses work?
Courses are delivered via the WSET Online Classroom with set start and finish dates each month, including expert tuition within these dates. You get access to course material for 12 months.
Note there is no ‘live’ delivery of online content and tasting samples are not included in the cost.
Level 1 Award in Beer is a 4 week course.
Level 2 Award in Beer runs for 5 weeks.
