Flavour Logic is partnering as the nominated educator with Gill Gordon-Smith from WSET Approved Program Provider (APP) Juice Education Consultants to bring the new WSET Beer Qualifications to Australia. Juice Education Consultants are the registered provider and will handle all bookings, payment and administration for these courses.

Who developed the course?

Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is the world’s leading provider of drinks qualifications. Courses are designed to inspire and empower anyone looking to develop their drinks knowledge including beginners, enthusiasts and industry professionals.

Key to courses is developing tasting technique using the Systematic Approach to Tasting Beer®.

What’s covered?

• Explore Beer Styles: Learn what makes each style unique from malt-driven ales and lagers to yeast-derived and sour styles.
• Craft and Ingredients: Understand the ingredients and processes behind a wide range of brews.
• Tasting Like a Pro: Develop your palate with expertly guided tasting sessions.
• Service and Food Pairing: Learn the art of serving and pairing beer to enhance the beer consumer experience.

Course delivery

We offer flexible options for delivery, either online, in-person or blended. In-person courses are held in a central location near Adelaide, South Australia.

Customised educational groups for the trade are available. Example course timings:

• Level 1: 3-hour session x 2
• Level 2: 8-hour session x3

Prefer the flexibility of online?

Online courses have set start and finish dates with access to expert tuition throughout the course. Note there is no ‘live’ delivery of online content and tasting samples are not included in the cost. Level 1 Beer is a 4 week course and Level 2 Beer runs for 5 weeks online with access to course material for 12 months.
